rossana orlandi/dwell

I just noticed that some of the work I shot during the Milan Furniture Fair in April is in the July/August issue of Dwell magazine. I had the pleasure of photographing Rossana Orlandi. I love her....she is amazing. This is my favorite of the lot. It captures her spirit I think...

Miller House/Dwell Magazine

I was thinking the other day that around this time last year, I was heading to Columbus, Indiana to shoot the Miller House for Dwell. They just came out with a really nice, slightly expanded, version of the original story for their Best Homes in America special edition (on newsstands now!).
I love the rug in this shot designed for the Millers by Alexander Girard. All the symbols are specific to the Millers life, including a bank, their initials and even a Y for Yale, Irwin's alma mater.

today thru this weekend! Miller House Prints at Dwell on Design, LA!

Let's face it...this is the money shot from the Miller House. The main living area with the first "conversation pit".
Today thru Sunday you can see this and 6 more image printed large (20x30", and 30x40"!!) on display (and for sale...shoot me an email if you are interested!) at the Dwell on Design conference in LA. I've been told they look really pretty but I am heading over today to see for myself. Here is one more that will be there. I haven't showed this one to you all yet...happy weekend everyone!

miller house/outtake

I think this is my favorite shot from the Miller House. It is from the master bedroom. Isn't it peaceful? Beyond those far trees is the river.

miller house/dwell magazine

Last December, you may recall I was in Indiana for awhile on assignment for Dwell. Well the fruits of my labor are in the new May issue of Dwell. The house I shot is the Miller House in Columbus, Indiana. I am proud to say this is the first article I have been commissioned to write and photograph. Pick up an issue and let me know what you think.
