henry varnum poor/crow house

not too many words today. I just love this picture. Especially all the rectangular rusted tins in a row on that shelf.

  1. I really like this Crow house. It appears half decrepit but it has real soul. The textures and colors of the walls are sensual. And all the figurines and sculpture, and the piles of books, and the framed oil paintings laid casually about. I can tell a humanist lives/lived here. I am curious about the rusted tins. Why are they there? Sorry if that's a callow question. But they amuse me and I want to know why they exist.

By the way, I looked at your Craftsmen portraits of June Schwarz and Kay Sekimachi and was delighted by the contrast in their work spaces. Schwarz's looking so chaotic and like a bomb went off inside, and Sekimachi's fastidiously ordered and neat. Both incubators.
